A lot of us have recently found ourselves loving the new base M6 model from LWRC. Not only complete units but also the uppers. I thought it would be cool to show off our M6SLs, expecially with non-LWRC lowers. Share your experiences with fit, finish and functionality. GO PIC CRAZY!!!

Here is mine:
16.1" LWRC M6SL Upper w/ H2 Buffer and spring
MEGA GTR-3S 7075 Billet lower w/ DPMS LPK
Geissele SSA Trigger
Magpul CTR (mil-spec)
Magpul MOE Pistol Grip
Magpul MS2 Sling**
AimPoint T-1 Micro on Larue 751 Co-Witness mount**
BCM Gunfighter MOD4 Charging handle**
YHM Phantom 5C2 Flash Hider
Overall cost of the build: $1532.75

(**not including parts I already had in the price.)

Bare rifle with the an empty Pmag is 6.99lbs and 7.91lbs (Still over 1lb lighter than my M6A2 with the same stuff on it.) with everything on it. Mega lower fits like a glove to the upper; real snug but not too tight where I can still easily pull the pins without any tools. The lower has an Integrated trigger guard and a tension screw for better upper/lower fit but I don't even need to use it; it fits that nicely. I haven't had a chance to get out and get it dirty yet. The 15% discount for father's day really helped. I ended paying about the same as you would for complete LWRC unit, BUT I got a better trigger, billet lower with trigger guard machined into it, Phantom FH, and a BIGGER SMILE ON MY FACE.

EDIT: Added updated picture with OD Green furniture.

If I ever get an LWRC again, it'll be that one.

Budget and current life situation limit me to one calibre for rifles, and one for handguns. Let's just say the rifle caliber is not 5.56. I still have my old LWRC lower sitting around. Sold my last LWRC upper last week. I'm not in the position/funding I was the past few years.

i hear ya buddy, i'm in the same boat, i sold my stag piston to fund my first lwrc, but haven't been able to make it happen, but i shoot 5.56mm and 9mm, both cheap, easy and fun, i'm pretty good with both calibers, and in a world ending situation, i shouldn't ever have a problem find ammo, if i ever get my girl into shooting, and 14.7m6-sl will be what she gets

i'm torn between the a2-s, a3 & spr

"Overall cost of the build: $1532.75" With the T1? Or did you steal it off of your A2 :yeah: I just got my stripped lower today and I am considering the SL upper but I am having are hard time getting used to the A2 front sight, not a big fan of it. After crunching the numbers it will be around 1800$ But it will be sweet and exactly the way I want it. Have you shot it yet??

All of the above were moved from my A2. I realized that 6.8SPC in a 16" configuration is more suited for mid/long range work, so I took T-1 off of it and I'm going to slap a scope on it. A2 FSP is different compared to Troy Flip-Ups but with the DD rear sight it's actually not so bad. I always hated the thought of fixed sights but I'm slowly warming up to the idea with the SL. The Co-Witness LR751 is probably going to get swapped for LR660 because I can see what people mean about 660 being better with fixed sights. I have not had a chance to get it dirty yet. Really busy with work and some other issues besides money. I got the ammo, it's just that wifey and I are sharing one vehicle. She works early mornings and I work nights. We had some family staying over and she was taking them all over on weekends and with only one car, I can't exactly walk to the range. I was calling up some buddies to come along but they are all busy too. Hopefully this coming weekend I'll get my chance.
