It's removable on the 16" and 18" rifles, and can be removable on those shorter than that IF you have paid your NFA taxes for an SBR.
Threading is:

5.56NATO - 1/2 - 28 TPI
6.8SPC - 5/8 X 24 TPI

What does having paid the tax stamp have anything to do with being able to take off the stock suppressor, for say cleaning or swapping another barrel over 16"?
What I am getting at is, LWRCI didn't start welding/pinning their suppressors on did they?
Anyone can buy lowers that are under 16", all you will have legally are expensive metal clubs. It's whether or not you register your LOWER to be NFA compliant as an SBR is the hitch, it has NOTHING to do with the upper.

I think what he's trying to say is that some of the SBR uppers (specifically the 14.7) has the PA flash hider.

I wasn't trying to get all into the NFA law stuff, yes, anyone can buy an upper no matter what length or if the flash hider is permanently attached or not. They'd better make sure they're following the law, however. I assumed he was talking about complete non NFA rifles, not an AR pistol or an SBR. Apologies.

Medic, just don't get caught with your pants down not having any registered lowers but SB uppers laying around and try to explain how you were going to hit someone with it. God forbid shtf and you smoked someone with a non registered SBR.
