Almost positive this is contract overrun or seconds with the more expensive 90gr GD bullet. This does not appear to be the commercial 6.8 load Federal/ATK is supposed to be releasing this year.

seconds...maybe, but it is THE round developed for the SIX8 saudi contract.

Correct on both counts. This is not plinking ammo; this is serious use "duty" ammo. It would also be quite suitable for hunting. This load is no joke. I'd trust my life with it. Hopefully, their FMJ "plinking" load isn't too far behind.

I got mine in yesterday. I have not shot any yet however. I may just wait for my Six8 to try it. Hopefully our wait will not be too much longer....

why are the GD's using smaller primers? other than reloading what difference will this make for shooters using Ldubs and other non Ldubs?

Everybody who loads 6.8 in any quantity except remington uses small primers for 6.8 (ssa made a run of large primer a while back and whoever it was that was loading the green tip vmax a while back also used large).

Now if we could get the Magpul magazines they go in, we'd be making progress.

Have you actually seen them in stock there? I've seen dozens of places that show them in their catalog, but none have ever had any in stock.

No I haven't, the only ones that I know that have them is LWRC and your going to have to buy a rifle to get one. Give Magpul a call and see if you can get some kind of release date out of them...
