16" ATACs REPR

Postby shot » Fri Sep 14, 2012 5:11 pm

Is there any reason why I should not buy a 16" spiral fluted REPER in ATACs? Found what I believe to be a good deal on one?
The spiral fluted barrel? Is it worth it?
The ATACs? Is it durable?
The rifle comes with either a EMOD or UBR stock? Any comments on these would be appreciated.
Thinking about putting a BC on it. Love the BC on my 5.56. Anyone try the BC for 7.62 on 16" rifle and what do you think?

If I pass on this then I'll wait for a black 16"

16" spiral fluted REPR W/ UBR and BABC in A-TACS is real high of on my "next gun purchase" list. If only my budget allowed for it. I would have to say jump on it. Also, I really like the SF barrel on my A2-S. It's one of the reasons I bought that gun. Totally worth it, IMHO.

From what I have heard from those in the know and been there done that....

Water transfer is not as durable as Cerakote...

Now if you don't give a dirt about having the pretty safe queen and are looking for a battle rifle that can and will, as well as should !!! get scrapes, dings, and battle damage - then why the hell not....

Water transfer appears to be pretty tough. Waaay tougher than I expected. I've been thinking about getting some coated pmags to beat on to see if I like how it wears.

Found a 16" spiral fluted REPR with either EMOD or UBR stock, in ATACS with BattleComp for either 3685.00(EMOD) or 3785.00(UBR). Rifle is NEW. and that is totla cost including shipping and tax.

????????

I feel that is a fair price, I could save some cash waiting on black REPR but...

Thoughts.

I would get it, but ask the folks at NWT what their pricing would be, similarly outfitted first.
