Is this how the new upper and lower are being classified, or is this a 6.8-only type of deal?

I noticed that too the other day. It's a good thing I got my impulse buying urge under a little control. I'd be selling plasma to support my ammo habbit in no time.

That is the A5 because of the Adj Piston system it is using. And the gun is the new prototype 6.8 gun, with the A2 piston system.

CORRECTION ***** Meant The A5 Piston system at the end.

How soon 'till we can see more details about the new adjustable system?

Wow. It's pretty cool seeing these innovations manifest themselves.

It seems I will need to buy a new safe this year.

14.7" barrel and a CTR stock and I'll be having a yard sale and donating blood to scrape up the money......Very pretty looking. Looks like a midlength gas system.

Oh, look at that. The gas block is different. I wonder what the details are.

I also like how much the new Patriot Brown finish emulates the MRE of old:

I like it! Especially the Patriot Brown w/ black accessories.

Will it be offered in 5.56, or just 6.8 SPC?

The rifle in the OP has clear scratch in the finish. This is not acceptable! You better send it to me so I can check it out.

Darren had mentioned a newer gas system prior to SHOT --- I thought he had said it would be on the SPR, guess I was mistaken. Interesting.

I know this has been mentioned before but how come they do not incorporate the repr charging handle on the new m6a5?

My guess, they'd like to stay as close to the standard as possible so that it's as marketable as possible to gov't agencies and military units.

Rather the ambi controls than the side charging handle. More versatile.

The upper and lower are milled because they are 6.8 specific, designed around the proprietary 6.8 mag also shown at SHOT. There is no time frame for any of this for commercial release so don't campaign. If something pops....be pleasantly surprised.
Many things are shown at SHOT, not all is commercial.

Not campaigning, just wondering.

ETA: Although, I presume civilian sales are a large if not larger chunk than contract sales, so I don't see why it wouldn't happen eventually.
