Do I have a TALO edition?

Postby DEFILER1911 » Mon May 15, 2017 7:45 pm

Like the subject says, I picked up a FDE, CSASS-marked rifle with SN in the low 200's and with a SFMB brake on it. Did I get a TALO edition or is it just first run of REPR MKII's? Doesn't make any difference either way, just curious, since the website doesn't offer the REPR MKII in FDE.

Thanks!

Its possible, Logan said they were coming in tactical grey and FDE.

I would think there is a tell in the product code. Its on the box if you want to post it up here and maybe we can figure it out.

Label says:
MODEL: CSASSR7CKF16

CSASS COMP RIFLE 7.62MM X 51, 16" HELICAL FLUTED BARREL, COLOR: FDE CERAKOTE, EVEN SERIAL NUMBERS. It is serial number C282.

Also the manual (which I just took out of the box says:

CSASS Compact Semi Automatic Sniper System
Limited Edition | 1-500

So if not the TALO, then it is the limited CSASS-Marked run before they all are marked as REPR MKII I guess.

Happy either way. Have a gas problem with mine but I'm contacting CS about it. Confident LWRCI will make it right.

Thanks!

Yep, its either the Talo CSASS or MK2 and since it says CSASS in the code and it has the SFMB and the 1-500 designation I would say its a TALO! Nice snag! :ar15:

And it also has the Geissele SSA-E on it. It's etched CSASS on the upper receiver as well. I guess I got lucky. :-)

Yes, the CSASS limited edition is technically a "TALO" limited edition.

Any rifle marked CSASS is a limited edition. Everything moving forward is going to be engraved REPR MKII.

Where can I get my hands on (order) a CSASS Tale LE or the MKII (Texas) and what is the primary difference. I've been waiting seems like 3 years since the initial announcement. Drop a message, I don't hit the forum much. Thanks In Advance.
