Choosing REPR Color. Help!

Postby Kjones.0791 » Fri Oct 27, 2017 2:21 pm

Getting ready to buy the LWRC REPR MKII and need people’s opinion. I really like the tungsten grey but I am torn between that and the OD Green/patriot Brown. I know this sounds kinda ridiculous but I’m very ocd when it comes to making decisions like this. I’m sure I’ll like whatever I end up picking and I’m not buying it for the color anyways just wanted your guys opinions. Thanks

Depends on the purpose. Sling bling or a functioning tool. Of the “not black” colors, I prefer patriot brown. Blends well with my local surroundings. Burnt bronze is the most offending of colors I’ve seen out of lwrc rifles.

Talk about a first world problem, lol.

It all depends on what you're going for - safe queen/display, durable field finish, or tactical camo. I am a fan of the Cerekote finish for durability. I usually try to mix and match stock, pistol grip, and finish color so as to break up the pattern.

I recently had some work done on an Anschutz .22 (epoxy bedded and made into an SBR). The gunsmith did some great work with a couple different colors of spray paint and I am happy. I don't expect it to last as long, but it should be cheap enough to touch up.

Any of those colors will provide a nice base for rattle can camo if needed. And look cool.

My vote, though it may not be a factory color, would be patriot brown.

I like them all but Tungsten is still probably my favorite. Perfect amount of grey/ metallic. Not too flashy, blends with everything, still different then black, and easy to clean on the surface.. Just an all around great color.
