I was in a local shop last weekend and saw an M92 "commemorative" model with the EGA engraved on it. I shoulda bought it just because 9 mm is still relatively cheap to shoot.

LOL Kudos on the m118lr...I believe Hague even has a provision for frangible ammo now..Anyway, I have an m6a1 I bought about a year and a half ago. I'd like to see about sending it back to have an m6a3 gas block put on it. I'd be interested in a chf barrel, but I know you guys are busy cranking out rifles, so I'm not sweating that one. Any ideas on price for m6a3 FSB + labor? Thanks.

What sort of stripped upper receiver does LWRC use? Is it dimensionally mil-spec? If so, could I swap it out with a billet upper receiver without voiding the warranty? (For purely aesthetic reasons, not that I think LWRC uses an inferior upper receiver forging or anything like that.)

Also, I'm getting a small-batch billet lower transferred to me as a pistol, waiting on the ATF to clear my dealer's variance. What sort of paperwork do you guys need to see to have in order to send me a sub-16" barrel? I don't want to order one before I have a pistol lower in my hands, as I have other non-pistol AR-15 lowers in my possession and that could easily be constructive possession.

IIRC, LWRCi cut their own upper and lowers

Not concerned about who cuts them. Just wanting to know if they're dimensionally mil-spec.

The hole where the piston goes into the receiver is not the same as a DI upper.
However, the current uppers are 7075, which is superior to most others.

That's what I needed to know! Thanks.

I wasn't aware that LWRC uppers were 7075 - but as I said, I would only want to change it for purely aesthetic reasons.

STOP. LWRC uppers have a steel bushing press fit into the receiver so the op rod doesn't wear down the aluminum. Your third party receiver will not.
Transplanting to a new receiver is a both a bad idea and doing stuff outside the scope of the warranty.

I just finished disassembling and cleaning my new M6A3. It appears to have conventional rifling. I was under the impression it was polygonal rifling, but it appears to have land and groove rifling similar to the rifling in my other AR.
