I'm so thrilled with this upper I called LWRC and was hoping to get the exact upper built with all new components. I can order all the parts except for a new CHF barrel with A2 front sight base. At first I was told I could get that barrel with A2 FSB but then when I got further in details I was told they didn't have the A2 FSB style barrel in 10.5". Needless to say I went from excitement to disappointment but oh well.

I think I have you beat. Although I no longer have it, I was one of the first to send my upper in for the L-W gas piston conversion. Circa 2003 or 2004 maybe?
Pistons do it longer!

Ah yes, the olde days! SWAT this month re-ran one of Pat's articles that had a pic of Stephen's old M6A2 10.5" FDE, classic rifles.
