PDW/PSD PIston

Has anyone taken apart their PDW/PSD piston assembly? For the life of me I cannot pull the piston out utilizing the procedure I normally use (and as the manual describes) with all of my longer uppers. There doesn't seem to be enough play in the piston to get it angled enough to slide it out past the piston cup. Any input would be appreciated.

I've done it, tight but doable. Make sure the BCG is locked back or removed. Sorry I have no other tricks.

Have someone put a finger on the nozzle so it doesnt slide back on you while you pull on the intermediate rod. They changed the piston system a little and that rod actually locks into the piston rod now so the whole system wants to slide back together. You just need a third arm now.

I use pliers, carefully of course.
