Question About DI BCG

Postby civiliansheepdog » Sun Mar 30, 2014 10:17 am

Sorry if this has already been discussed but I did not find this topic in my search. Is the DI BCG in the new DI guns replaceable by any standard BCG? In other words, could I swap out the L'dub BCG for say a DD or BCM or is the L'dub BCG proprietary to the rifle? And what exactly is the end of the DI carrier key made out of......the black end? Why did L'dub make it this way instead of making the entire key a solid piece? Sorry for all the questions.

There really isn't much info out about their DI rifle yet. But I would be willing to bet it is 100% compatible with milspec DI rifle parts. I suppose the replaceable carrier key piece is just that so in designing it a full dovetail might over commit and if it broke at that point you would not have to replace the whole BC, just that small part.

Yes, you can change out the BCG with other manufactures.

The end is steel, I don't know what type.

If you drop your BCG and it hits the floor, guess what's going to get bent? That end piece, so if that happens you can replace that piece and not the whole BCG.

Punch out the roll pin, unscrew the tip. Replace it with a new one and replace the roll pin.

No torqueing and re-staking required.
