Thats cool guys. I have plenty of guns to break.

I like my LWRC still. I don't expect nor do I rate a replacement for the crap I willfully put my rifle through.

I do appreciate the sentiments though. This beast is still rippin!

Errr...BB....what is this preventative and ongoing maintenance thing you talk about? I thought the gig was they break the gun and then bring it to you to fix?

Borebrush can you expand on Pat Rogers statement in his AAR of the 5-6 June course?
Borebrush ran his M6A1- OK, tried to run his M6A1. Aside from the spectacular muzzle flashes from his grossly eroded comp, he had some issues with his gun. I’ll let him explain.

Did this turn out to be an ammo problem or the M6A1 needing a little TLC?

I think Geico should do one of those TV commercials with BB instead of Gunny.....

Nice.................................
Why do you carry a .45?

'cause they don't make a 46.

Good read. So is LWRC taking your advice and fixing things? I dont own an LWRC but I would like to just out of my price range for awhile yet. Thanks for the read.

darren wrote:Borebrush's gun was a demo gun we sold him after he borrowed it for a Pat Goodale course. It is definitely old school from the old company. It does not have any of the changes present on the currently shipped guns. Keep in mind, my first exposure was to one of these, which is essentially a colt type M4 with a gas piston. We saw the potential once we added all of the other innovations and technology we wanted to.

I have seen some shite over these 4 years. You WOULD NOT BELIEVE how much better these guns are than comparative models. That includes the HK 416. I was present in Jordan for some of the testing, and they had every modern competitive rifle available going through he same testing. Everything else broke, malfunctioned, or was rendered useless. At first I was resistant to what they were doing. They test guns WAY outside the design parameters. I has been a long haul but all efforts, and money spent worth it. The apparently sexy competitors could not reproduce the reliability and accuracy in 20 years. It took a lot of experiences, a lot of testing, a lot of sleepless nights. All worth it.

There's your answer :D

My rifle has been somewhat upgraded. When the carrier key (pretty much broke but still ran) It was swapped out for the 2-piece OTB carrier. And the bushing that split in half was replaced.

I haven't had any time to shoot the thing since that last class. I left the next week for 2 weeks at S&W, and busy busy ever since. Finally got to shoot some work guns yesterday... M2QCB, Mk19, and I raped a SAW pretty bad.

Gauging is notional on guns, specifically M4 varients... we have to truly know by how the weapon runs in live fire, and how it prints. MilSpec gauges are accurate 40% of the time.
